FAQs

Question

How do I get to McCall?

Answer

If you’re traveling from out of town, we recommend flying into the Boise Airport (BOI). From Boise, McCall is approximately a 2-hour drive north through some beautiful Idaho scenery. A rental car will be necessary for getting to and around McCall. Traditional rental car companies are available at the airport, and many guests may find Turo to be a more affordable alternative. We recommend booking flights and transportation early, especially during the summer travel season. *You will want to leave ample time to return Sunday as traffic can be heavier on the way home*

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

We encourage guests to arrive on Friday and make a weekend out of their trip to McCall! This will give you time to settle in, explore the area, and join us for our wedding weekend festivities. For members of the wedding party, the rehearsal dinner will take place on Friday evening. All wedding guests are invited to join us for Welcome Drinks, s’mores and a fire on Friday night at approximately 8 PM at Shore Lodge. We’d love to spend time with everyone before the big day! Of course, if your schedule only allows for arrival on Saturday, we’re excited to celebrate with you then as well.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our wedding attire is formal. Please note that evenings in McCall can become cool, even during the summer and hot during the day. The ceremony and reception will take place in doors and the coctail hour will be outdoors.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

Yes- this is a family friendly function :)

Question

What is the weather like in McCall in July?

Answer

July is one of the most beautiful times of year in McCall! Guests can generally expect sunny days with daytime temperatures in the upper 70s to mid-80s°F. Evenings cool down considerably, often dropping into the 50s, especially near the lake. We recommend bringing a light jacket, sweater, or wrap for evening events and outdoor activities. As with any mountain destination, weather can change quickly, so it’s always a good idea to pack layers. We suggest bringing a swimsuit as McCall is lakefront!
