We would love to see our friends and family get dressed up with us! We are requesting formal or semi-formal dress code for our evening. We would love if you wore neutral or deep fall colors, but please do not wear white.
YES! There is plenty of parking at the venue right out front and it is free.
We recommend that you do not rely on Uber to get back to your lodging as the venue is about 30 minutes from most hotels our guests would be using. We have many wonderful friends and family that would love to help you get back to your hotel if you plan to drink from our bar. Please drink responsibly.
Yes! You can leave your car at the venue if you find a ride with someone else at the end of the evening. Please return to the venue the next morning to retrieve your vehicle around 9am.
The ceremony is outside, therefore we recommend you bring something to accommodate anything from brisk 45 degrees and cloudy, to 65 degree and sunny! Be sure to check the weather in Goode, Virginia the week leading up to plan accordingly.
The plan is for the ceremony to be outside. The reception will be inside but you are free to move outside to the patio if you wish. If you have any logistics questions regarding the venue set up you can reach out to Savannah or even check out Glass Hill Venue's website.
We would greatly appreciate if our wedding guests arrived 15-20 minutes prior to the 4:00pm ceremony start time so that you can get settled before the proceedings.
There will be a cocktail hour after the conclusion of the ceremony for our guests to enjoy and mingle in our brief absence. After cocktail hour we will have dinner and wedding festivities.

Yes there will be food and beverages served at the cocktail hour and reception dinner. We will begin the cocktail hour with passed apps. Additionally there will be an open bar with passed signature cocktails for the first hour and then beers, wines, ciders, and seltzers for the remainder of the evening. For dinner we will have an assortment of fresh rolls/breads with herbed butter, salad , braised beef short rib or crab and lobster ravioli in sauce with sides of haricot verts and creamy rosemary mushroom and gruyere potatoes. When you make your rsvp please be sure to note any dietary restrictions or allergies so I can let our caterers know in advance.
Yes! The bar will be open. There will be signature Bride and Groom cocktails for the cocktail hour and a limited selection of beers, wines, cider and seltzer for the entirety of the evening.

No and Yes. No, please do not take any pictures during our ceremony or be in a position that complicates pictures for our wedding photographers who are also two of our dearest friends. Yes, please take pictures after the ceremony and in our reception space around our wedding photographers. If you would like to post to social media we only ask that you use our wedding hashtag #NextStopMurdock and tag us!
Yes! We have blocked rooms at The Virginian, The Grand, and The Courtyard By Marriott Lynchburg. Please note some hotels have limited maximums for hotels blocks, so make your reservations sooner than later if you would like a block rate. Please visit to hotels tab of this website for more details.
No we will not be providing shuttles to and from the venue but we have many wonderful friends and family that would be happy to carpool or help you get back to your hotel if you need a ride! Please let Noah, Savannah or someone from the wedding party know before or evening of the wedding.
