We met in high school, Ray was a junior and I was a freshman. We were on the student council and the track team together. His friends were friends with mine and it just kind of happened, specifically over a bag of sour skittles. But, we will save the details for later, the rest is history and it's said to be the best thing that's happened to both of us!!
Ray took me on a romantic date to Branson, Missouri to see the lights at Silver Dollar City for a couple of days while he was home from the Navy. Before leaving for Branson he told me to buy a fancy dress and get my nails done, but I was fooled before so I didn't think much of this. The day of the proposal he got dressed up in a suit specifically made for the occasion and made me put on a blindfold and earphones before we got in the car so I couldn't hear the GPS to know where we were going. We later arrived to the Branson Belle Showboat, but the surprise didn't end there. Thirty minutes before the show started we went up to the roof to take pictures where a random couple was generous enough to help us out! As I went up to the lady to view the previously taken pictures, Ray reached into his pocket and when I turned around he was down on one knee. I was speechless and the moment was perfect, then I said YES!!
Thank you to all of our friends and family for being part of our happily ever after and filling our day with love and laughter. Love, Savanna & Ray
