They met at a mutual friend's party (shoutout to Groomsman Tyler!) during their Winter Break Freshman year of college. As it turns out, this was less of a party and really just 4 people hanging out, but Pat made sure to tell Ashley (Now Groomswoman) that he called "dibs" on Savanna. Little did he know, she had texted Jeanne (Maid of Honor) that she thought Pat was cute. They both faked headaches to procrastinate having to drive back home after the party was over, and it was clear they both wanted to spend more time together. The next day they were both driving back to school, hoping they would be able to hang out again soon - but were super bummed when they found out how far apart their schools were from each other. A month later, Pat decided a first date was worth a 6-hour drive to Providence College (he was right).
