FAQs

Question

Where and when is the wedding?

Answer

We have chosen to have our wedding on a cruise! Our trip will be a 7 night cruise from Sunday December 20th, 2026 to Sunday December 27th, 2026. We will leave from San Juan, Puerto Rico and stop in Dominican Republic, Aruba, Curacao, St. Thomas, and Tortola, then return back to San Juan.

Question

How do we book the cruise?

Answer

Please call our personal cruise consultant, Elkie Dilbert, at 786-531-4154 (or text at 914-514-4156), with any questions! Please tell her your name/the names of those in your party, and let her know that you are calling to book under Chaminda and Savanna's wedding to book under our group rate.

Question

How much does the trip cost?

Answer

The trip cost will vary for every one based on the type of room and when you book, as well as any amenities or extras that you would like to include. Please call Elkie to discuss the options with her.

Question

What if I can't make it to the cruise?

Answer

While we would love to have our closest family and friends with us to celebrate our "American style" vows, we understand that the timing and cost of this new itinerary complicates things. If you can't attend this trip, we would love to have you join us for our Guyanese/Hindu wedding here in Connecticut in September 2026. More information and formal invitations will be sent out shortly!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to venue restrictions, we have limited our guest count to our very closest family and friends. Because of this, we are unable to accommodate additional attendees at the ceremony. If you would like to have someone accompany you on the cruise, that is, of course, fine with us, but they will not be able to attend the ceremony or the following dinner.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Kids are welcome to join you and your family on the cruise, but we kindly ask that they do not attend the ceremony.

Question

What is the dress code for the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that our guests dress in formal or semi-formal attire, and in shades of blue if possible. Please keep in mind that the weather will most likely be hot and sunny!

Question

Will there be a reception?

Answer

We have arranged for a dinner later in the evening on the ship in lieu of a traditional reception. Time and location will be shared at a later time.
