Savanna and Ben met at Northwestern State, her freshman, his sophomore year. Neither of them can really remember the exact moment they were introduced, but their friendship grew quickly over games of ping pong at the BCM. After they graduated, they lost touch but always seemed to keep in contact on random occasions. One day in April 2021, after not talking for over a year, Ben reached out to Savanna and the two reconnected. They talked for a few months before Ben asked her to be his girlfriend in July of 2021. Almost a year later, on July 19th, 2022, Ben proposed in front of Savanna's family and she said yes!
