In the fall of 2018, Savannah was continuing her studies at Sam Houston State University. One day, as she frequently did, Savannah went to Old Main for breakfast with one of her roommates. But this time was different – Cody was there. They began talking and were immediately drawn to each other. Despite their attraction to each other, Savannah and Cody remained friends. After joining Quadball (formerly known as Quidditch), they began spending more and more time together. It wasn’t long after that they shared their first kiss. And although Cody may not remember it, he was an absolute gentleman about it. As they remained "just friends", Savannah and Cody bonded over fine arts, concussions, and Jesus, reading devotionals every night. On March 15, 2019, they finally got out of the friend zone and had their first date. Over time, they've become inseparable and even built a family. Not wanting to wait any longer, Cody and Savannah got engaged in June 2025 and later married through the church with a small intimate ceremony on July 20, 2025. Through every obstacle that’s been thrown their way, Cody and Savannah have been able to grow in their relationship with each other. We look forward to finally celebrating their marriage with everyone!
