Spencer and Stephanie met in what was once considered an unconventional way, but has become common in our modern age, on Bumble. They both "swiped right," and so began their love story... unbeknownst to them. With what she thought was a clever opener, Stephanie asked Spencer what he was most looking forward to in the next year. His answer was getting to explore South Georgia as he had just recently been stationed at Ft. Stewart in April of 2024. From that opening line, the conversation just kept flowing. Their first date began with coffee, then Sunday School, then Church and finally lunch with friends. The dates to follow spanned for hours chatting and savoring every moment together. Early on they spent a little over a month apart while Spencer was away at military training and Stephanie went to Europe for the Olympics. It was about this time that both realized that there was something special about what they had -- it was love! After finally reuniting, it was while they were watching a movie, Spencer told Stephanie he loved her, to which she promptly replied, "What?!" (she couldn't hear him over the movie). After he hesitantly repeated, "I Love You," she quickly exclaimed, "I LOVE YOU TOO!" Over the course of the next year Spencer and Stephanie spent countless hours cherishing fun adventures and mundane moments. After a little over a year, Spencer proposed and she said, "What?!"... just kidding, she said, "Yes!" Both Spencer and Stephanie can't wait to celebrate their love with you on February 21, 2026!
