We technically met on Tinder (thanks, algorithms), but the universe had its own plans for when we’d meet in real life. One night, Ange found herself at The Brass Monkey, a favorite Ottawa venue, after some last-minute cancellations left her flying solo. While sitting alone, she noticed someone up by the stage charming, confident, and clearly having a good time. That was Dale, supporting his friend who was about to perform. Ange made the bold first move, walked up, and started a conversation. From that very first moment, something just clicked. We talked, laughed, and instantly felt like we’d known each other much longer than just a few Tinder messages. As the weeks went by, we got to know each other better bonding over our love of music (especially the heavier stuff) and our shared appreciation for animals. Our connection only deepened with time.
