We met on July 8th, 2023, in Nashville at Tyler’s sister Tera’s brunch which, for the record, was supposed to be a normal Saturday. Our early days were a blur of Nashville and Huntsville weekends, running down Broadway in the rain, spontaneous nights out, and our first official date at The Treehouse in Nashville, TN. Somewhere between all of that, Tyler drove to Huntsville to visit Emily while she was there for work and that’s when things clicked. It didn’t matter where we were; being together just felt right. From Punta Cana adventures to picking out rings in Charleston for our one-year anniversary, life quickly filled up with moments that felt bigger than just “dating.” They felt like building something. Fast forward to February 22nd, 2025. Emily walked into what she thought was Tera’s bridal shower in Nashville. She had absolutely no idea what was happening, not even a suspicion. Meanwhile, both families and friends were secretly tucked away, waiting. Tyler proposed, Emily was completely shocked, and everyone got to witness the moment she said yes! Now we spend our days working from home, sharing life with our Bernedoodle, Bonnie June, who fully believes she is the center of this relationship (and she’s not wrong). Our life together is simple, fun, a little chaotic at times, but full of the kind of joy that makes every day feel like its own story. And now, we can’t wait to start this next chapter surrounded by the people who have been part of it all along.
