Emily & Logan met in December of 2014 through a mutual best friend. Logan was playing baseball at Troy University and Emily was moving to Troy for work & school. She started working at Chick-fil-A Troy, AL, where she would go on to working for Chick-fil-A corporate on a traveling marketing team to open up new stores across the nation. Logan was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in June of 2015 from Troy University & continues to play professional baseball. From 2017-2019 Emily worked for Terrapin Beer Company and in May of 2019 she was offered a new job with the USA TODAY NETWORK | LOCALiQ as a Data and Brand Consultant, giving her the flexibility to work full time based out of Pensacola, FL and travel with Logan during the baseball season. In the 2019 season, Logan played for the Altoona Curve in Altoona, Pennsylvania & the Indianapolis Indians in Indianapolis, Indiana - the AA & AAA affiliates of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Logan and Emily love Pensacola and intend to continue calling it home. They enjoy fly fishing, bowling, and binge-watching TV shows/movies. In 2016, while in Charleston, West Virginia, while Logan was playing for the West Virginia Power (low-A affiliate for the Pittsburgh Pirates) Emily and Logan adopted a dog. They named her Charley after the town they adopted her & believe she is a Plott Hound bred to hunt bears, but they've only seen her hunt couches. Emily and Logan are extremely thankful to their family and friends, especially their parents, for their continued and unquestioning support, as they pursue their crazy, wild, and wonderful dreams.
