FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin punctually at 3 o’clock in the evening. Please arrive no later than 2:45 pm!

Question

What is the attire?

Answer

We’d love to see our friends and family dress up with us on our special day! We are requesting that all of our guests wear formal attire. Ladies, please wear long, formal dresses and men please wear suits. No jeans please!

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

As much as we love little ones, we have decided to have an adults-only wedding. We’re excited to celebrate with you and hope you enjoy a parents’ night out!

Question

Can I bring a guest/date?

Answer

If you received a plus one, your guest’s name will be listed on your invitation and will appear under your name when you RSVP. Otherwise, we would love to keep the wedding as an intimate event with close friends and family.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There are no dumb questions, except this one. Yes! The drinks are on us and the hangover is on you - get ready to party!

Question

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be held on-site at our venue, Franciscan Gardens. The after party is right across the street from our venue at Swallow's Inn.

Question

Will it be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held outside, the cocktail hour will be inside, and the reception will be held outside.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

The closest hotel (walking distance) to our venue and after party is the Inn at the Mission in San Juan Capistrano. We have already provided a room block for this hotel and HIGHLY recommend those who aren’t local to stay there. Check out the "Travel" tab of our website to browse other hotel options within driving distance of our venue.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an “unplugged” ceremony, meaning we are asking our guests to not take any photos or videos during the ceremony. The greatest gift you can give us is being fully present as we say “I do.” We have hired professionals to capture this moment for us and we promise to share our photos as soon as we receive them. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many pictures and videos as you’d like!
