FAQsFAQs

Question

Where is this wedding being held?Where is this wedding being held?

Answer

We're getting married at the Manor at Airmont! Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this charming 18-acre property blew us away the first time we saw it. It was built in the 19th century as a farmhouse, then played roles as a guesthouse along one of Virginia's first train lines and, later, as a horse barn. Today, it is the stunning backdrop to one of the happiest days of our lives.

Question

Where can I RSVP?Where can I RSVP?

Answer

We will open up RSVPs once we send out formal invites. You can expect both in May.

Answer

We would request your RSVP no later than August 1, 2026.

Answer

Yes! We not only want kids to be part of our celebration, we encourage it. If you're interested in either kids menus or nanny services during our event, or have any other kid-related questions, shoot us an email at emgabed0901@gmail.com.

Question

Where should I fly in?Where should I fly in?

Answer

Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) is far and away the closest place to our wedding venue. If you fly to either DCA or BWI, let us know! We can try to help out with directions as needed.

Question

How far away is everything? How far away is everything?

Answer

Dulles airport is about a 25-minute drive from Leesburg, VA, which itself is roughly an hour's drive from Washington, DC. From downtown Leesburg, it's a 25-minute drive to everything else in our wedding weekend.

Question

Where should I look for hotels?Where should I look for hotels?

Answer

The closest major urban areas to both Dulles airport and our wedding venue are Dulles, Sterling, Ashburn, and Leesburg. For ease of planning and access to all wedding weekend events, we recommend staying in Leesburg. It's a charming historic outpost with nearby Civil War memorials, museums, hiking, and a vibrant local dining scene. For more Leesburg tips, we scouted the place ourselves! You can find all our recommendations on our "Things To Do" page, along with a full guide to Leesburg we wrote.

Question

Where should I stay?Where should I stay?

Answer

We've reserved room blocks at the Best Western Leesburg, Hampton Inn & Suites Leesburg, and Homewood Suites by Hilton Leesburg—all of which are within a ten-minute walk of each other. You can find more information, as well as our unique booking links, at our "Travel" page. Along with these hotels, we have included suggestions for several boutique hotels to stay at in Leesburg, as well as several B&Bs and rentals we've vetted with our wedding planner. Let us know where you end up—a welcome treat may follow!

Question

How do I get to the venue? How do I get to the venue?

Answer

You've got several options. If you're driving, the venue address is 19246 Ebenezer Church Road in Round Hill, Virginia. If you're not driving, we've arranged shuttle transportation to and from Leesburg. Shuttles will depart from the Homewood Suites on October 17 at 3:00pm and get you back, at the latest, around 11:40pm. We'll also make shuttles available for our farewell brunch. We'll update this page with more information about our shuttle times closer to the fall. You can RSVP for shuttle transport at our RSVP page. If you'd like to take the shuttles, let us know whether you plan on taking them to the wedding and farewell brunch or only the wedding. For more on both events, check our "Schedule" page. Arriving to your hotel on Saturday and taking the shuttles? Let us know! Where possible, we can arrange for early check-ins or luggage holding, so you won't miss either your ride or a beat of our special day.

Question

What's the rideshare situation like? What's the rideshare situation like?

Answer

To be honest, not great. You'll have plenty of luck catching a Lyft or Uber from Dulles or Leesburg, but our wedding venue, by contrast, is in the very beautiful boonies. We strongly recommend renting a car or taking one of our provided shuttles on our wedding day.

Question

Is there parking at the venue? Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

You bet. The Manor at Airmont has 50 paved parking spaces and a side field for overflow parking.

Question

What time should I get there? What time should I get there?

Answer

Our ceremony will kick off promptly at 4pm, so please make every effort to arrive by 3:30. Pick a seat, get comfortable, and prepare for a wonderful night!

Question

What should I wear?What should I wear?

Answer

Our wedding dress code is cocktail attire. For us, this means knee-length or longer dresses, snazzy jumpsuits, elegant separates, or suits/sports coats with an optional tie. Color is encouraged, but please save the white dress for the bride! Kids should wear whatever they feel best in. Lastly, please keep in mind that, weather permitting, our ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors.

Question

What's the weather forecast? What's the weather forecast?

Answer

Crisp and perfectly autumnal, so layer up. Average October temperatures for Round Hill, VA range between 44° F and 68° F, with peak temperatures between noon and 4pm. We've timed our wedding ceremony to coincide with the warmest part of the day, but worst case scenario, we'll have some blankets on hand.

Question

Will the wedding be inside or outside? Will the wedding be inside or outside?

Answer

We are currently planning on having our ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors. After that, we'll head inside for dinner and dancing until the night concludes.

Question

Is there a rain plan?Is there a rain plan?

Answer

Definitely. The Manor has ample space for an indoor ceremony and rain tents on site.

Question

I have a special diet! What can I eat?I have a special diet! What can I eat?

Answer

Let us know about any dietary preferences or restrictions when you RSVP, and we'll bend over backwards to get you something you like at every event you attend. Er, well, Emma will bend over backwards—Gabe's back has been killing him lately.

Question

What time will things end? What time will things end?

Answer

There's the technical answer, and there's the real answer. The technical answer is around 11pm. The real answer is: that depends on you. Should you find yourself sitting and chatting with us late into the night, well, who are we to complain?

Question

How do I get back to my hotel? How do I get back to my hotel?

Answer

Our rockstar transportation company has your back. At the end of the night, shuttles will pick up everyone who RSVPs for them and drop them back in Leesburg. We've designated the Homewood Suites as our pickup and drop-off point based on its proximity to the other two hotels, so it should be an easy walk from there to your bed. That said, if you stay past the departure time for our shuttles, you're on your own, bucko.

Question

The Thursday dinner sounds great! Can I come? The Thursday dinner sounds great! Can I come?

Answer

It would be a pleasure! Our kickoff dinner will be extremely informal, so stop by if you happen to be in town. Indigo is a beloved Indian restaurant in our neighborhood, thanks in no small part to its delightful food and huge patio. It's also a one-minute walk from our apartment, where the revelry will continue once we leave. Come start this magical weekend with us the right way!

Question

What about the Leesburg welcome on Friday, October 16?What about the Leesburg welcome on Friday, October 16?

By all means, come! We'll be at Shutters on King, a lovely refurbished building in the heart of Leesburg. If you’re here on Friday night, stop by to mingle, meet guests, reconnect, and enjoy each other’s company!

Question

The Sunday brunch also sounds great! Can I come? The Sunday brunch also sounds great! Can I come?

Answer

Absolutely! Our farewell brunch is open to everyone—just RSVP to let us know if you'll make it. We'll be meeting at Great Country Farms from 10am to 1pm for picnic tables, barbecue, hard cider (if you choose), and all manor of fall farm shenanigans. We've been visiting Great Country Farms for years, and its resonance in our story is one of the main reasons we wanted to get married in this area. You can find all of the (apple) juicy details on our "Schedule" page.
