As much as we love the little ones, our wedding weekend will be an adults only weekend. However, we understand it may not be possible to leave your children. The Cape, A Thompson Hotel does offer childcare through their concierge services. Please contact The Cape directly for inquires. Depending on the Hotel you select, we advise you to reach out to their concierge to see if they also offer childcare.
Unfortunately, we have specifically made a guest list adding spouses/significant others. If you do not see an added plus one to your name; unfortunately, we have not included an additional guest at this time.
Please refer to the events page which lists recommended attire for each event. We understand it will be warm; however, please refrain from wearing shorts/t-shirts/flip flops at the wedding. Shorts will be acceptable at the welcome event and definitely something you should pack if you plan on exploring Cabo.
Absolutely, Cabo is very clean and safe. We have been to Cabo numerous times with family and friends and have never had issues. Cabo is a popular destination amongst many, including Americans and visited frequently. Cabo offers high end shopping, luxury hotels, great restaurants and friendly locals!
Unfortunately, San Jose is located about 45 minutes from The Cape and downtown Cabo. San Jose offers many hotels and restaurants as well; however, will be a small trek to the events.
Brandon’s friend recently posted this after a visit to Cabo - I have to say, without hesitation that the sanitation protocol in Cabo has 10X the technology and requirements that I’ve seen anywhere in San Diego. That said I felt safer in Cabo out and about than I have in San Diego. Cabo has about 30% of business, restaurants and resorts open and seemed very sparsely populated for this time of year. There was no crowds, no traffic and sometimes no other people in a restaurant. The standard seemed to be temp checks and sanitation foot wipe and hand sanitizer at every business. Most restaurants had individuals packaged silverware, tablecloths and napkins, and all food was delivered to the table covered. Some took it a step above with thermal imaging devices and sanitation mister tunnels, handheld blue lights. The Airport used thermal imaging scans, the VIP lounge gave us the entire upstairs to ourself. Id travel again to Cabo tomorrow.
Directly from the Cape website -“The hotel remains committed to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and quality you expect from The Cape. Thanks to our committed and hardworking team—from our cleaning staff to our ownership—we have established in collaboration with Hyatt and BlueNet Hospitals a robust system of safety and sanitization measures that meet federal and global health guidelines; supervised by a dedicated leader from the team. Also, we are participating in the country’s federal certification called “Punto Limpio” or Clean Spot to secure the safety of guests and colleagues.”
Guests will be provided with specialized care kits, including face masks, disinfectant wipes, and hand sanitizer. Guest rooms are assigned to allow maximum distance between guests. There will be a lapse of 24 to 48 hours between room assignments to allow a deeper sanitation process. Elevated and rigorous daily cleaning procedures for all guest rooms and common touch points including sanitizing and disinfecting protocols are in place. In some areas we are using new technology such as electrostatic sprayers, UVC light and disinfection points. Use of technology for a tailored stay for our guests, from booking your reservation to the check-out process. Alternative contactless in-room dining options, housekeeping services, and others. Social distancing is practiced throughout the hotel by colleagues and guests, from spacing our restaurant tables accordingly to the check-in process, public spaces, and others. Food preparation protocols are strictly enforced.
