Wedding bells are Ringing, Celebrate with us!

Our story began with covid lockdown, and all our in-person plans being cancelled. Chris and I realized we would have both attended the same conference and that we both studied women’s empowerment from different angles, Chris from public health and me from Sociology. But that wasn’t the real hook. On our first date, on a socially distant walk, Chris proved to be the quirkiest guy I have ever met. He had a different way of looking at the things I found ordinary, and it made me laugh, but also kept me on my toes intellectually. He had so many stories to share and such unique stories. He has a businessman side, a researcher side, a doctor side, a social activist side, a silly boyfriend side as well as a wise uncle side. During covid, when choosing who to allow into our covid bubble, Chris came into my life with all of these sides to him and all of his stories and I couldn’t think of anyone else I would rather spend my time with. He made my covid bubble colorful and full of laughter. I was hooked, I still am, and I look forward to a lifetime of being hooked.
