Things To Do

On Tybee Island

Stroll the beach — it might be too chilly for swimming, but it’s the perfect weather for beach walks, collecting seashells, and watching the sunset. Tybee Island Pier & Pavilion — a classic spot for a slow afternoon stroll or just taking in the ocean views and enjoying an ice cream cone! Local seafood — cozy up at one of Tybee’s laid back restaurants and enjoy some fresh caught shrimp, oysters, and Lowcountry favorites. Fort Pulaski — take a walk through this historic fort and its scenic trails, it’s even more peaceful in the cooler months.

In Savannah

Wander downtown — Savannah’s historic streets, charming shops, and cozy cafés are made for slow exploring. Forsyth Park — grab a coffee and stroll under the mossy oaks, it’s especially beautiful with the crisp fall air. River Street — full of shops, restaurants, and beautiful waterfront views, perfect for a leisurely afternoon. Ghost Tours — Savannah is known for being one of the most haunted cities in America. October is the perfect time to brave a ghost tour (or a haunted pub crawl!). Bonaventure Cemetery — famously beautiful and haunting, a must visit if you love history, art, or spooky stories. Wormsloe Historic Site — walk through the stunning oak-lined avenue and explore the colonial ruins, it’s straight out of a storybook (and extra magical in the fall).
