“We’re getting married!”

Our story started on Catholic Match on January 19, 2025. What began as a simple introduction quickly felt different. From the start, there was an easy connection. Sasha’s adventurous spirit, deep faith, and sharp wit made every conversation feel natural, like we had known each other much longer. Our first real date set the tone for everything that followed. Whitewater rafting on the Lower Yough River was not your typical first date, but it fit us perfectly. From there, our relationship grew through long distance and frequent cross country flights to visit. As life moved forward, so did we. When Sasha finished her master’s degree in nursing, Jack asked her to move to California. It was a big step, but it felt right, and it marked the moment we both knew this was something lasting. Not long after, another move came into the picture. This time to Louisiana. It was during that transition that something became even clearer. No matter where life would take us next, Jack knew he wanted Sasha by his side for it. It was no longer just about where we were going, but who we were building that life with. We eventually found ourselves back where it all began. At Railroad Rapids, the place of our first date, Jack proposed on Thanksgiving Day 2025, surrounded by family and close friends. She said yes and thankfully the ring stayed intact! We are so grateful for the path that brought us here and can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with you!
