The story of Alexandra and Andrew is a story of music. Sasha, as she's known to many friends and family, grew up in Zaporizhia, Ukraine listening to Abba and the Beatles with her parents, while Andrew was dancing around to Michael Jackson in Richmond Hill, Ontario, wondering how a man could sing so high. Sasha loved to dance, skating to music as a figure skater, and moving to the rhythm as she got into hula-hooping. Andrew followed in the footsteps of his older brothers and took piano lessons, before joining an all-star band playing tenor saxophone. It was too fitting that Sasha and Andrew met going to a music festival. Introduced by their friend (and the Maid of Honour) Amy, they hit it off immediately, dancing the night away in the middle of Algonquin park, to artists like Digitalism and, embarrassingly, Skrillex. They were young, give them a break. After saying their goodbyes after that weekend, though, Sasha and Andrew lost touch and saw each other sparingly over the next few years. Six years later, though, they reconnected, and there was no stopping the inevitable this time. What started as an innocent request - Sasha asking for social media advice from Andrew - turned into them seeing each other every week, then multiple times per week, then almost every day. Sasha REALLY needed social media help, as it turns out. And as they spent more and more time together, that time of course included more music. Festivals, concerts, and ultimately getting to see one of their favourite bands, Radiohead, in Montreal. It was at that moment Andrew knew he'd found someone special.

2 years later, Radiohead came back into town. After the concert, and with the help (once again) of their friend Amy, Andrew surprised Sasha on their balcony with a proposal that included lights, candles, champagne, and one more small item - the wristband from their very first music festival together. Hearing Andrew pop the question, and hearing Sasha respond with an enthusiastic "Yes!", was music to their ears. Now, Sasha and Andrew look forward to sharing their journey with you - get ready to dance, sing, and feel the music in the air! (They promise, the DJ won't play any Skrillex).
