What is the Welcome Party?

Answer

All of our wedding guests are invited to join us for drinks and hors d'oeuvres at Oak to Ember in Gloucester on Friday night. We wanted to create another opportunity to visit with all of our guests and show our appreciation for everyone taking the time to travel and celebrate with us this weekend! There is free parking available at 44 Commercial St. in addition to street parking by the restaurant.

What should I wear to the welcome party?

Answer

We suggest coastal cocktail attire which expands on traditional attire to also include sundresses, sandals, and linen fabrics. Think summertime and less formal than evening cocktail attire. The welcome party is indoor-outdoor and partly takes place on the restaurant's deck which is overlooking the water. We want everyone to be comfortable and depending on the weather and breeze, sweaters or light jackets may be necessary.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

We ask that our guests wear garden formal attire- tuxes or suits for gentlemen and full length or midi dresses for ladies. Of note, our ceremony will take place outdoors so we recommend shoes that are comfortable for walking on grass!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! Our ceremony and reception will both take place at Misselwood Estate. There is plenty of parking available and there will be a parking attendant on site to help!
