Q&A

If you have any other questions other than what is listed below, feel free to reach out to either of us or our parents directly.
Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

We ask that everyone dress semi-formal and wear all off-white or mostly white. And yes, when we mean all white we mean top, pants, or dress - the whole shebang. Small prints and light enough greys or beiges will work fine. Just think Midsommar or cult-in-the-forest vibes. If all you have is a white button-up and pair of white pants, that works for us. Sorry in advance to all our goth friends. We want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose. There's a bit of gravel from the ceremony location to the reception hall, so be cautious of wearing too high of heels.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

If you're traveling to town, we recommend you find a place to stay in NW Portland or inner SE Portland. Kyle and I live in NW Portland. You can find our exact address in the "Places" tab. We have some hotel recommendations in the "Travel" tab.

Question

How far is the venue from downtown?

Answer

The venue is outside of Portland, about 45 minutes from downtown. There is parking available at the venue for those of you driving. We recommend carpooling. If you are planning to drink, please assign a designated driver for the evening so everyone can get home safe at the end of the night.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Yes! We want everyone there with us to celebrate. If you don't see your kids listed in your RSVP, please let us know.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

What weather can we expect?

Answer

Portland in late September tends to be around 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the day, likely 50-60 degrees Faranheit in the evening. There is a possibility of rain. If you're visiting from out of town, we recommend packing a rain jacket and shoes that will protect you in the rain just in case.

Question

Can I come if I'm unvaccinated and what other COVID precautions are there?

Answer

We ask that you only come if you are fully vaccinated. Oregon is currently requiring we wear masks both indoors and outdoors. You are fine to remove your mask while eating. We will provide masks, and we also have rapid tests available. We ask that if you're traveling from out-of-state or country that you take a rapid test prior to attending the wedding and provide a negative covid test.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are registered through Zola, including West Elm and Williams Sonoma. You can view our registry through the "Registry" tab. Your presence is enough, but thank you for considering a gift!

Question

What kind of food should I expect?

Answer

We are having Magna Kusina, a Filipino restaurant here in Portland, cater the event. You can expect Filipino food like lechon, lumpia, halo-halo, and all that. We are serving family style and made sure to have vegan options.
