COIVD Update

We hope you all are well and that 2021 has begun kindly for you. Thank you all for your support this past year. We want to celebrate with everybody this year, so here's an update about our plans. Primarily, we are concerned about everyone's safety. It is our hope that the Covid-19 vaccine rollout will continue quickly. If this is the case, our new date for the wedding celebration will be July 31, 2021. We encourage everyone who is able to get vaccinated according to the timetables set up by your state. Since this is a significant variable, we will not be making a decision about whether to hold the event until the later weeks of May. We believe that this will give you enough time to make travel plans that you are comfortable with. Before that time, you can browse this site to see some options for accommodations and other fun things to do in the Colorado Springs area so you'll know what to expect. You all are so important to us and we hope that everyone can join together to mark this momentous occasion. Stay safe and stay healthy! Love, Sarah and Greg.

Our Story

Sarah and Greg first met in the summer of 2016 at a wine tasting party. Greg thought Sarah seemed nice and Sarah thought Greg was quiet. They didn’t talk to each other much, and that might have been that. What Greg’s friend and co-worker Alisa forgot to tell him was that she thought Sarah would be a good person to date. Fate intervened. Sarah and Greg crossed paths a few times over the next year. Alisa invited Greg to a party at the Green Room; which turned out to be Sarah’s birthday celebration. After a fun night out, Greg walked Sarah home, left a post-it note with his number on it. Sarah texted him the next day and they ended up going on their first date on October 17, 2017 at Coco in Easthampton. A first date turned into a second date (assembling an Ikea couch!), which turned into more dates. Greg liked Sarah’s direct approach to life, her fun, active personality, her strength, and her ambition. Sarah liked Greg’s easy going, laid back personality and how genuine and kind hearted he is. Both acknowledged the relationship felt different, easier; it was exciting as though they hadn’t been together for long, yet also comfortable, like they had known each other for years. Greg moved in in June of 2018. What followed was an exciting year of adventure. Because of it, Sarah and Greg’s bond grew, and they knew they wanted to spend their lives together. On September 30, 2019, Greg suggested they take an after-work walk, something both liked to do to wind down after the day and connect with each other. On one of their usual routes that follows a path off Pomeroy Terrace in Northampton, Greg stopped them. It was in the middle of farmland, grass, and wildflowers. He said, “There’s something I need to ask you.” Greg got down on one knee and asked Sarah if she would marry him. Sarah said yes! It was the happiest moment, and the beginning of many more happy moments to come. We look forward to celebrating the next chapter of our adventure with those near and dear to us.
