Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Unfortunately, we are doing a kid-free event. We love your kids but they are not included in guest counts. Please make the proper arrangements.

Question

What about COVID?

Answer

We are proceeding as normal at this time. Our venue has implemented safety protocols and has not put any guest limits on events at this time. This could be a possibility down the road. If this happens; we will reduce our guest count for the day of and hopefully plan something once the vaccine is available. We are asking that all guests limit their interactions (limited quarantine and testing if available) prior to the event to create a safe environment for all guests. We will be providing masks and hand sanitizer for any guests that may feel uncomfortable. We want this to be a fun and safe event for all who are able to attend.

Question

How should we dress?

Answer

This event will be a semi-formal. Dresses, skirts, buttoned shirts, jackets, and slacks. No need for the more formal items: Full suits or gowns. There is turf in the ceremony area but the remaining area is concrete so all shoes will work. Our venue is in the desert. Be prepared for a warm day/afternoon and a colder evening. As of now, dancing will be held outside. (Bring a cover up or jacket)

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

The venue is a bit farther out near the mountains. It is away from hotels and rental properties. We have included some good choices on our travel page and some hotels include transportation to the venue (before and after). There is also plenty of Air B&B and VRBO properties in the area for rent.

Question

Shuttles Avaliable

Answer

The Hampton Inn has a complimentary shuttle. It may be easiest to go there if you are looking for easy travel options. The Gold Canyon Golf Resort and Residence Inn no longer offers shuttle services. The shuttle leaves at 3:15pm and 4:15pm and return departure is at 10:00pm and 11:00pm. Those are the only shuttles available. For others staying off-site: You may want to set up a Uber or Lyft drop off/pick up since the venue is off the beaten path.

Question

Can cars be left overnight?

Answer

Yes, cars can stay over night but need to be picked up by 11 am the next day. (Saturday)

Question

What about gifts?

Answer

Gifts are not required but always appreciated. We have included a variety of choices on the wedding registry since we have been in our home for quite some time. We included some things for our home that could use an upgrade and there are also some group gifts on the Crate & Barrel registry too. We included items for our honeymoon, gift cards, and cash funds to make it easier if you can’t find something on the registry.
