Jacob and I have known each other since middle school. We were friends all throughout high school. Attending the same parties, classes together, and having the same large circle of friends. After we graduated, we decided to just see how things went. Well, they went great. Not all picture perfect, but making it through the hard times and supporting each other, we KNOW we’re soulmates and will have a marriage that lasts. So, 10 years later we're getting married!!

With how busy Jacob and I are with work and other activites, it’s very rare and hard to get some relaxing alone time. We finally were both able to get time off work and head to the mountains for our weekend get away. We had planned to see the Ice Castles in Dillon, CO, so that was what we did the first night. It was FREEZING to say the least, but the sights were amazing!! Beautiful colors, a clear star filled night, and just each other’s company. We wanted to get a picture in front of one of the walls. So the mission started with trying to find someone to take our picture. Then, a family of three asked if Jacob would take their picture. He’s always the sweetest man, so of course he said yes. After, they asked if we would like our picture taken. Well, duh!! I walked to where we were going to stand, as Jacob handed the woman his phone. Little did I know, he was telling her that after the 2nd photo he was going to pop the question, and if she would keep taking photos as he proposed. So, we stand there smiling, and after a couple shots, Jacob turned and gave me his speech as he got down on one knee!! I yelled yes before he finished I’m pretty sure. I couldn’t feel my toes, my face, and all these people were smiling and clapping around us. It was more than perfect. It was pure bliss. He slid the ring on my finger. The perfect ring, from my perfect man. ❤️
