Kevin and I met through TikTok back in 2022, I know right? I LOVE telling our story and seeing peoples reactions when I mention TikTok being the cause of how it all began. It all started on a random Friday night when I uploaded a story while at a Youth Convention, capturing the beautiful and powerful service we were having that night and I remember getting a notification saying that someone by the name of Kevin had reacted to my story and sent me a message. "You're here at convention? That's my church's event!" After a few back and forth messages with Kevin, he had expressed his interest towards me and asked if it was okay with me if we could get to know each other a bit more. Unfortunately, at that time I was not ready to talk to anyone and turned him away. We still remained good friends. After 2 long years, of healing, growing and focusing on myself and the Lord, my best friend Rachel kept insisting and encouraging I get back on Instagram since the only social media account I had was TikTok and after several attempts and very good persuasive skills, she succeeded and I opened up an Instagram account. As I was adding new friends and just browsing, a familiar face pops up in my "suggested" friend list. Can you guess who? That's right, Kevin. With no intentions, I simply requested to be his friend and moved on about my day. A few weeks later, he reposted a story about his church youth group asking members if they knew how to translate some English words to Spanish and I remember reacting to his story (Lol, oh how the tables have turned) & saying: "oh my goodness, I'm for real a NO SABO kid because I had no idea how to say any of those words in Spanish. & that's how it all began. We were talking more and more and as the days went by he built up the courage to ask me again if he could have the chance to get to know me better and I finally said, YES! & here we are now, planning our FOREVER. Our relationship has truly reflected on how "God's timing" really is the perfect timing. (Isaiah 60:22 Ecclesiastes 3:11). In 2022, I was in no way ready for a relationship and when I finally became ready, I remember always praying to God for my future relationship, my future husband, our lives, our children and etc. Little did I know, I was praying for Kevin all along. I am so grateful for the amazing man God brought into my life. December 27, 2025 will not only be the day we celebrate our love but our unity and becoming of ONE flesh with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (Genesis 2:24 Matthew 19:5-6 Mark 10:7-8 Ephesians 5:31). We thank you all for the love and support we have received.
