Question

What's the story on the chapel?

Answer

The Chapel of St. Ignatius is on the campus of Seattle University, Saraya's alma mater. From its website: "Architect Steven Holl chose "A Gathering of Different Lights" as the guiding concept for the design of the Chapel of St. Ignatius. This metaphor describes Seattle University's mission and it also refers to St. Ignatius vision of the spiritual life as comprising many interior lights and darknesses....the Chapel of St. Ignatius won a design award from the New York Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, and a scale model of the chapel has been selected to become part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York." https://www.seattleu.edu/chapel/

Question

What is the story on the reception venue?

Answer

Optimism Brewing is a short walk from the Chapel of St. Ignatius, and there will be an open bar with beer wine, and non-alcoholic drinks. We will also serve dinner and dessert.

Question

Will there be a cake?

Answer

Instead of a cake, we will have traditional Chinese desserts including fried sesame balls with lotus seed (Conor's favorite)!

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We are very important and popular in the Seattle area, and many of our fans and admirers will be setting off fireworks in our honor over the course of our wedding weekend - feel free to attend a firework show while you are in town.

Question

Can I have a rap concert at your wedding reception?

Answer

No, unfortunately our event insurance specifically bans "concerts with rap music". Also "go-kart races".
