FAQs

Question

By what date should we RSVP?

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP no later than July 1st so that we may plan accordingly.

Question

Can I bring a plus one or children?

Answer

We are keeping our celebration very small, and space is limited. Your invitation will reflect those included, and your online RSVP will specify if a plus one and/or children are able to attend. Thank you so much for your understanding — we can’t wait to celebrate together! ✨

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Fall in Montana is often beautiful, crisp, and full of changing colors—but it can also be wonderfully unpredictable! You can generally plan for highs in the 60s°F, with temperatures cooling down into the evening. The last few falls have stayed quite warm well into October, but it’s always possible we could get a chilly snap—or even a surprise snowflake or two ❄️ We’ll keep an eye on the forecast and send weather updates as we get closer to the celebration so you can pack accordingly.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Dress in whatever makes you feel your best! 🤠 If you’d like to lean into the Montana western way of life we’d love to see a little western flair—think cowboy boots, hats, denim, or flowy dresses—but it’s absolutely not required. If you’re feeling inspired to shop, Boot Barn is a fun spot in Bozeman, along with many other local western shops in the area. ✨

Question

Is it safe to hike in bear country?

Answer

Yes, but with caution! We encourage you to enjoy the incredible beauty of the Rocky Mountain region of Montana. Being informed and prepared for bear country can help you feel confident and safe while exploring. When hiking in bear country, keep the following in mind: -Popular trails typically have less wildlife activity -Hike in groups of 3 or more whenever possible -Carry bear spray and make sure you know how to use it before heading out -Make noise while you hike to avoid surprising wildlife -Stay aware of your surroundings and look for signs of bears, such as tracks, scat, carcasses, or disturbed logs and soil For more detailed information on bear safety and encounters, visit: https://fwp.mt.gov/conservation/wildlife-management/bear/be-bear-aware/bear-encounters

Question

Are there any altitude considerations?

Answer

Yes—Montana’s elevation can take some getting used to, especially if you’re traveling from lower elevations. To help you feel your best during the celebration and throughout your trip, we recommend: -Staying well hydrated (start before you arrive and keep it up while you’re here 💧) -Taking it easy your first day, especially with physical activity -Limiting alcohol at first, as it can feel stronger at higher elevations 🍸 -Eating regularly and getting plenty of rest Some people may notice things like mild shortness of breath, fatigue, or dehydration more quickly than usual, but most people adjust quickly within a day or two, and being mindful of these small things can make a big difference.

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

Yes! Unless you are coordinating with someone who can pick you up from the airport and transport you throughout the weekend, we recommend renting a car at the Bozeman airport as there is no public transport to our venue.
