Our event is “Elegant Formal” attire. This means elegant cocktail dresses and evening gowns, suits or slacks/dress pants with a button up. *NO jeans or denim pants Shoes: wear what you are comfortable in that fits the dress code of formal. The ceremony will be indoors as will the reception.
No. Do not wear white, beige, crème or any similar color to the wedding. That color is reserved for the bride. If you do, so many unfortunate possibilities could arise! Stains can happen, you could be asked to wear a hideous shirt over your amazing outfit, you could be asked to change or if you can't change, leave. You traveled all this way for our wedding, so please, in order to fully enjoy the wedding festivities, don’t wear white or similar!
Due to the size of the venue, we can only accommodate a limited number of people. The invitations will specify who is invited. There are no kids allowed except the couple who are in the wedding party, please take this night as a night out!! While we love your families and +1s, we can't have everyone celebrate with us. We appreciate your support in our special day!
Please include your food allergy in your RSVP so we can do our best to work with you! If the bride or groom hasn’t reached out to confirm your allergy two weeks after RSVPs are due, please email us to make sure we got it! We want everyone to be able to enjoy Timberline’s exquisite food!
Yes, a very hard set deadline and it is required you RSVP. Our vendors need a final headcount! Your invitation will specify a date to RSVP by, if we don’t have your RSVP by the deadline listed on your invitation, it will be marked as a “no” and we will be so sad to miss you!
Uhhhh OPEN!!! The drinks are on us, hangover is on you! We will be reserving a room block at the lodge for guests to book a room ahead of time, so if you plan on drinking, please book a room within our room block. We would rather you stay the night than try to drive. Depending on the snow level, it could be safer than a ride share or Uber, plus it's about an hour or so back to Portland area. We want you to have fun AND be safe!
If you cannot make it, you will be SO missed!! Please RSVP as soon as possible so we can adjust our headcount! We’ll send out announcements after the wedding and we will be sure to send you one!
Nope! It’s all in one place, how handy is that!? The ceremony will be in the Barlow Room on the first floor and the Reception will be in the Ravens Nest on the 3rd floor. Timberline is a big place but, don’t worry there will be ton of signage and you’ll see the party!
It is March and it is up at a ski lodge, there will be snow and it will be chilly! The average snow depth up at the lodge that time of year is about 4-5ft and the average temperature is anywhere between 35°-45°. BUT remember that the ceremony and reception are both indoors and the hill up to the lodge and parking lot are frequently plowed.
Don’t you worry. We hate waiting around for the party to start just as much as you do. There is an open bar, and you’ll find little activities at each of your tables once you find your seat. Newlywed crossword puzzle, cards for a date idea suggestion, guest bingo to help you mingle, etc!! Please use these to fill the void while you wait for us to arrive as Mr. and Mrs. Poissonnier!
On the invitation there will be a group code for you to get a great rate on a room at the Timberline Lodge where the wedding is held; these rooms are open market which means they are open to the public not just those invited to our wedding. We did this so our guests can pick which kind of room/size bed they would like. Because our wedding is in the winter season, rooms at the lodge book fast so please use the group code and book a room as soon as you know you are staying for the night. If there are no rooms available, please check the Best Western down the hill in Government Camp, you will need to find transportation down to it but, it would safer and easier than trying to drive home or getting a Lyft/Uber.
If you are staying at the lodge, there is parking right out front of it and you are welcome to park there. If you are staying at the Best Western down the hill or are simply driving to and from the wedding, you will park in the lower lots and you will want to bring a jacket and some comfortable shoes for walking up to the lodge because it will be cold and its about a 5- 10 minute walk from those lower lots.
