Philip is originally from Texas and moved with his family to Northern Virginia when he was nine years old and is the only child to Stephen and Paula Smith-Cobbs. At a young age Phil excelled in ballet classes and is a proud alumni of the Classic Ballet Academy in Herndon, VA. At 18 years old Philip became a professional ballet dancer with the Atlanta Ballet Company in GA. Philip has had amazing opportunities through dance, and still professionally dances part time to this day. After being in Atlanta for seven years, he came back home to pursue his longterm career of being a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Graduated from NOVA in 2019 and passing The National Board for Respiratory Care, he currently is working at INOVA Fairfax Hospital as an RRT. Sara is a military brat and was born in Germany. Sara is also the only child (oh boy- two "only" children) to Tom and Tracey Watson and they settled in Northern Virginia when she was 11 years old. Sara started taking private voice lessons with an opera instructor when she was 13 years old. Sara decided she wanted to pursue music theatre into college. She graduated with a BFA in Music Theatre from Shenandoah Conservatory and started professionally singing while working odd jobs to help pay the bills. Sara had many opportunities through theatre/singing along the years-even got to tour Europe singing with The Sound of America National Choir. Later in life she wanted a more steady job. Graduated from NOVA in 2015 after studying Dental Assisting- Sara has now been a Dental Assistant for three years to a D.D.S. and Periodontist in Fairfax, VA.
He dances. She sings. So of course Phil and Sara met during a musical. In 2015 they were both in Sterling Playmaker's production of The Music Man. They were introduced by their mutual friend Jack ( in case we haven't said it yet- thanks Jack!) and quickly became friends. Sara and Phil remained friends for about a year an 1/2 or so...really not sure when their first date was tbh. Finally it just got to the point where it was like "hey, I like you as more than a friend...lets see if that goes anywhere". You know how that went now!
