Flight
Southern California has tons of airports but San Diego is definitely the easiest for domestic flights and is the most convenient (~20 minutes to the temple, ~45–60 minutes to Vista).

Another great option is flying into Santa Ana ~1–1.5 hours away. For those who live in Utah there are flights from Provo to this airport (more flight options, sometimes cheaper).

Rental Car
Renting a car is highly recommended. The temple and reception venue are about 45 minutes apart. Rideshare is available but can be limited/expensive for longer distances

Vista / Carlsbad - Closest to the reception venue - Quiet, relaxed, and convenient for wedding events Oceanside - Great beachside option - More restaurants and walkable areas La Jolla / San Diego - Closer to the temple - Ideal if you want a more central or upscale stay

The temple and reception are about 45–50 minutes apart Staying near Vista/Carlsbad is most convenient for the reception. Renting a car is strongly recommended for getting between locations. For those attending the sealing arrive Thursday, September 17 (best option) OR early morning Friday flight arriving before 8:00 AM
