If you're traveling from out of town for our wedding, thank you for making the trip! Here are some things to check out in your downtime.

Things To Do

The Blend (in Washington) is Zack's favorite coffee shop in the area: high-quality roasts, good seating, and tasty treats. Check it out!

Eli's is a local coffee chain, and this one in Mackinaw is just a 7-minute drive from our ceremony location, Mackinaw Valley Vineyard. Could be a great stop for morning coffee before the ceremony! There's also one in nearby Tremont.

A set of clearly marked, mostly forested hiking trails with a good few hills to give you a good workout.

Spring Creek Preserve Trail

The community of Peoria Heights has a small downtown area with shops, restaurants, and some coffee. On the weekends, you can also get a ticket up the red tower in Tower Park for good views of the Illinois River valley.

If you are bringing your kids, take them to check out some animals (including lions and zebras!). The nearby Glen Oak Park has a fun, old-fashioned wooden playground set for running and playing.

Another great option: farm animals, a silo slide, barnyard stuff, and a nearby playground all make this a memorable stop for younger kids.
