Are there houses on Figure 8 for Rent?
Answer
Yes! Please see the link for houses available for rent on the island https://rentals.figure8island.com/ If you would prefer different options, please see below for the hotel block, alternatively, we highly suggest Airbnb and VRBO rentals (at either Wrightsville Beach or Portner’s Neck)

Are there beach front options to stay?
Answer
Yes! We would suggest using airbnb and or VRBO to locate waterfront beach options. The closest beach is Wrightsville Beach and is about 20 minute Uber ride from the ceremony location. If you would like to be closer, but waterfront, airbnb and VRBO has great waterfront properties at landfall and porter’s neck.

What about kids?

We would suggest using the Facebook group “Wilmington, NC Babysitters and Nannies” as a great resource to find babysitters for the wedding (we use it for beach trips!). Alternatively, Figure 8 island has a list of babysitters they recommend. Please reach out if you would like a copy of the list.

Do you have a registry?
Answer
We are just excited to celebrate with you and do not have a registry. If you feel compelled to give, we will be updating this FAQ with a link to the charity that means the most to us as a couple.

What is the dress code?
Answer
For the wedding — it is black tie optional (but keeping in mind it is a beach wedding) For the welcome drinks —it is poolside chic (think European resort-wear but not bathing suits and flip-flops)

How do we get on and off the island?
Answer
We are calling in passes for the week for everybody attending the wedding. We will have a beach set up as well at 8 Inlet Hook if you wish to hang out at the beach for the day. To get onto the island, just drive (or Uber) to the guardhouse and let them know you are here for the Binko wedding and your last name and they will give you a pass for the week to go on and off the island!

I am staying at the hotel, how do I get to the reception?
Answer
We will have trolly service going from the wedding to the hotel that night!
