Sarah and Thanh met one night at a friend's get together in Philly. Sarah's friend was showing pictures of co-workers who were stopping by when Sarah singled one out as "cute" and her friends knew what to do. They pestered Thanh, who almost didn't leave his house that night; to come over. After arriving, talking, and playing games Sarah and Thanh got to know each other. Near the end of the night a card game where Sarah had to slap Thanh in the face (which he later learned chipped his tooth) and a promise to set up a breakfast date the following morning is where their love story began! Fast forward a little less than a year they moved in together and loved being around each other more and more. They explored the town of both Phoenixville and Royersford. They work on building their recipe catalogue, especially perfecting their fried chicken wing recipe. Even with not having a working fridge and freezer for just about a month didn't stop their home cooked meals. Food is something they love. Whether it's cooking a new recipe at home, checking out a new fancy restaurant, or trying their luck at food markets/festivals (The Southeast Asian Market in FDR park can not be beat) they always love enjoying a good meal together. If they aren't somewhere cooking and eating Sarah & Thanh are most likely trying to be outdoorsy. They enjoy exploring new places, going on hikes, and even going to see the occasional solar eclipse. Whether it be the mountains in PA or one of their favorite (not so local) national parks. They love being outside and try to be more active exploring great hikes with even better views. Which led Thanh to the idea of proposing to Sarah. First idea was a trip to Vermont during early fall. However, Mochi (one of their cats) got sick and they had to cancel the day before we were supposed to leave. So plan two was put in place. In another month or so they traveled to Virginia to Shenandoah National park and Thanh pop the question. While at the top of the mountain Thanh gave Sarah an amazing speech which ended with the best question "Will you marry me?" and of course Sarah said yes!
