This will mostly be an ad for online dating... Sarah's Version: We "matched" on a phone app called Coffee Meets Bagel around the holidays in 2017. After about of month of only texting, we finally met in person at Terminal Bar inside Denver's Union Station. I may have had a couple glasses of wine because I was so nervous and so I thought I blew it. Next thing I know, he's asking to go out again. We went to a brewery and got charcuterie (bad move) and he remembered every little detail we talked about on our first date. I was so flattered and blown away. Of course our next date was a ski date -- ski compatibility is real. He may have wiped out a few times, but it was still cute and the rest is history. Many, many ski dates and interesting menu choices later, he got down on one knee in front of Union Station and I said yes! I couldn't be more excited to spend the rest of my life with the most kind, caring, genuine human I know. Can't wait to share our day with everyone! Mike's Version: I knew I found someone special when we met for our first date at Union Station. It was a few weeks before our first date. We were travelling for the holidays, texting about playing cards with our families, as we waited. On that first date, I immediately felt a connection as we talked about our love of travelling, skiing, our friends & families, and Ziggie. After a few dates around Denver, it was time for a ski date where apparently I proved I was good enough to keep around (thanks for coming along Pat & Brittany)! Fast forward a few years- trips to Costa Rica, Spokane, Whistler, Austin, & Disneyland; new jobs; and adopting a cute little kitten, I knew going back to Union Station was where I was going to ask for Sarah's hand. While COVID threw a number of wrenches in my plans for the night, in the end, that entire night is a blur as I stumbled through asking and then the excitement for everything that laid ahead for the two of us!
