FAQs

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Garden Attire: sundresses, button down shirts, overalls, nothing stuffy - no ties and no suits required. If you don't like dancing barefoot in the grass, then bring some comfortable flats. The ceremony and reception is outdoors. East Coast Septembers can be hot and summery or cool and rainy so plan accordingly with something warm to layer on and an umbrella.

Question

On which side of the aisle should I sit?

Answer

We are throwing tradition out the window. There isn't a bride's side nor a groom's side. No attendants and ushers. Find a seat or stand - just be comfortable.

Question

How do I communicate any dietary restrictions?

Answer

When you RSVP online, there is a field where you can enter any information about dietary restrictions.

Question

Is there a park entrance fee?

Answer

We purchased advanced tickets for you and enclosed them with the wedding invitation. There are four gates to enter the park and the Castile entrance is closest to the wedding site. Don't forget your ticket! ; - D

Question

What if I missed the cutoff for booking a room?

Answer

The rooms are held only until July 15th. Call the Glen Iris Inn (585 493 2622) and see if there is anything else available - there are larger cottages available that you can share with another group too. There are also a number of hotels close to the park. https://www.tripadvisor.com/HotelsNear-g47421-d123127-Letchworth_State_Park-Castile_New_York.html

Question

What if I booked a room, but now I need to cancel or make a change?

Answer

A one night's stay deposit is required when you make your reservation. You have until August 31st to cancel your reservation for a full refund or to make changes. After 8/31, your deposit is non-refundable. Check-in is 3:00pm and Check-out is 11:00am.

Question

What else is there to do in the area?

Answer

Letchworth State Park is named the Grand Canyon of the East. It offers amazing scenic views and waterfalls, hiking, whitewater rafting, and air balloon rides.
