Sarah and Michael met in their Western Civilization class during their freshman year at Monmouth University. Michael had recently seen the band Arcade Fire in October of 2013 and posted a video from the show on Instagram which sparked their first conversation. Eventually, Sarah invited Michael to join her on her radio show at school. He said yes right away! The show was then rebranded to be called "Toast & Jamz with Sarah & Mike." From there, they hung out on a regular basis getting to know each other better. One day after their radio show, Michael asked Sarah out on a date to a vegan restaurant in Red Bank called Good Karma and the rest is history.
