Our Story

Do you remember? The 21st night of September?

Sarah and Luke will because that is the night, well early morning really, that Luke proposed and Sarah said yes! But let’s rewind… Sarah, a corporate attorney with an eye for detail, and Luke, a laid-back business titan with a knack for solving problems, swiped by chance. Or perhaps, it was fate… Sarah had just returned from Hawaii and a long week of lawyering, Luke had been knee-deep in Excel spreadsheets, meticulously working on product pricing for his manufacturing company. Both were exhausted but agreed to meet up for a drink, not really expecting anything but a casual night out. Their first date was at Culinary Dropout in Scottsdale. The trendy, eclectic vibe of the restaurant seemed to suit them both perfectly. Luke arrived first, patiently waiting while skimming through his work emails (always the multitasker). When Sarah walked in, all smiles and casual confidence, Luke couldn’t help but put his phone away and focus on her. Their conversation flowed effortlessly. Luke’s witty humor was exactly the kind of lightheartedness Sarah needed after a long week, and Sarah’s sharp mind and thoughtful insights had Luke hanging on to every word. They talked and laughed and before they knew it was unfortunately time to call it a night. For their second date, they opted for something a bit more playful. Luke, ever the planner, suggested PutShack, a high-tech mini-golf experience, and Sarah— not sporty but, competitive by nature—agreed. It turned out to be the perfect choice. They spent the evening laughing, with Luke pretending to be a mini-golf pro, giving Sarah “tips” on her swing, only for her to sink the shot with zero effort. Sarah, of course, took every opportunity to jokingly gloat when she was ahead. Luke, not one to be outdone, tried to up the ante with trick shots—most of which resulted in his ball bouncing hilariously off-course. It wasn’t just the friendly competition or the banter that made the night special—it was the way they seemed to click, like two puzzle pieces fitting together. As they wrapped up the game and grabbed dinner afterward, it was clear this wasn’t just a couple of fun dates. There was a spark—something deeper that hinted at what could be the start of something amazing. And that’s how Sarah and Luke met. What started with a casual drink and a round of mini-golf turned into a story neither of them had expected—one filled with laughter, competitive banter, and the promise of something more.
