Formal garden party attire is recommended! We would love to see everyone get dressed up for our big day! This means floor length, midi, and tea length formal dresses or a suit and tie. If you would like suggestions feel free to ask. No jeans please! Also please refrain from wearing white (or any variation of white including cream, super light yellow, patterns on white dresses).
The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place at the Peterson-Dumesnil house. Weather permitting, the ceremony will take place outside. The Peterson-Dumesnil house is located just minutes off I-64 right behind Barret Middle School.
If you are planning on driving yourself, please park in the Barret Middle School parking lot (2561 Grinstead Dr, Louisville, KY 40206) . The parking lot can be accessed from either S Peterson Ave or S Galt Ave. The house is also easily accessible by Uber or Lyft, which is of course encouraged!
We have very few out of town guests and will not be utilizing a hotel block. We do have some cool places to recommend if a hotel is needed. Please check back on the "Places to Stay" tab where we will put our suggestions!
We love your little ones but this is an adult only event. We hope you understand our decision and can arrange childcare for the evening. We encourage you to treat this as your date night and enjoy the party!
Unfortunately if we did not indicate this on your invitation we are unable to accommodate a plus one.
The ceremony will start at 6:00pm. Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to allow plenty of time to park and find your seat. We understand that there will be rush hour and school traffic on a Friday, so if you arrive late, please avoid interrupting the ceremony.
Please RSVP under the RSVP tab and type the name(s) of your party. Please do so by April 11, 2025, so we can give the final numbers to the caterer in a timely manner.
We will be having an open bar with beer, wine, and liquor and will feature two specialty cocktails. Please drink responsibly!
Your presence at our happiest day is the best gift we could ask for! Since we have lived together for a while, we have opted out of a traditional wedding registry. While we understand you want to get photos of our special moment, we have hired a very talented photographer to capture everything! Please refrain from pulling out your phones as we want everyone to be present in the moment with us. We will post plenty on social media when they are available. We will also be uploading our photos to a google drive that can be shared with guests at a later time.
