It all started in 2011, in high school Spanish class. The first few days of class, Kyle caught Sarah’s eye and Sarah caught Kyle’s. Kyle tried to talk with Sarah at the end of class a few times, but Sarah was pretty shy at the time and didn’t say much. A few weeks in, Sarah had to ask a guy to participate in the “Guy/Girl Dance” at the homecoming pep rally. She didn’t know who to ask to be her partner and was talking about it with a friend after class. Kyle overheard and volunteered to be her partner. Sarah hesitated at first (mainly because she didn’t even know his English name) but then said, “Sure!” And that is the story of how Sancho y Sarita began. After a few pep rally practices, Kyle asked Sarah to Homecoming and they have been together ever since. They both enrolled at Miami University in the fall of 2013 and embarked on their first adventure in a new state. The time together at college was full of making lifelong friends, studying business, and of course, living it up! After graduation, they both got jobs they love and found their way out to Denver! Their 2 years in Colorado were filled with breathtaking views, incredible adventures, and making great new friends. After almost 8 years of dating, Kyle proposed! About a month later, Kyle got a call about a promotion in Wisconsin. Getting to be back in the Midwest was such a blessing, but they would definitely miss their friends and the views in CO. Now in Milwaukee, Sarah and Kyle can drive down to see family in Illinois whenever they want, and are able to visit more often with friends in the Midwest. They are excited to explore this new state and keep finding adventure in everyday life. “The best things in life are the people we love, the places we’ve been and the memories we’ve made along the way.” We want to say thank you for being a part of our lives. We can not WAIT to tie the knot in front of so many of our favorite people, dance the night away, and start our forever. Hope you can make it!
Finally! The day we got engaged was a whirlwind, literally and figuratively. Kyle had been scheming up a plan for months on how to propose to Sarah. She had always wanted to go on a hot air balloon ride, and what better place to do it than in Colorado. Kyle had scheduled this balloon ride months out, and was taking Sarah as a birthday gift. What she didn’t know was that Kyle was planning on proposing. He purposely scheduled it a few days before her birthday to throw her off and to keep it a surprise. On the day of their scheduled flight, the owner of the company informed Kyle that the winds were too strong for them to fly. With that news and the fact that he could not wait any longer, Kyle decided to take her to one of their favorite lookout spots to see the sunrise. Since Sarah is not a morning person, Kyle had to do some convincing to get her there since it was 6 in the morning. He knew the best way to get Sarah there, was to promise breakfast afterwards, since Sarah loves her bacon. They made their way to Boulder, drove up the mountain and parked overlooking the mountains and the town. They got out and as she was finishing taking pictures of the sunrise, Sarah turned around to Kyle down on one knee. He asked her to spend the rest of their lives together and if she would make him the happiest and luckiest guy in the world. They were able to celebrate a few days later by enjoying a hot air balloon ride over the Rocky Mountains. The company’s slogan is “create lifelong memories”. Sarah and Kyle are looking forward to doing just that together for the rest of their lives.
