This is a ridiculously hard time to plan a wedding. Everyday it seems like I (Sarah Jo) go back and forth about whether or not I want to postpone or continue with the wedding as planned. Either way, I am marrying Ashley on June 13, we just may not have a large celebration that day. As of 04/23/2020, invites have been mailed and we are continuing forth with the wedding as planned. I request that you RSVP however you see fit, and don't worry about upsetting us if you decide against coming. It is a hard decision to have the wedding or not! I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable on the wedding day or worried about getting sick. If you are high risk or think you may be getting sick, STAY HOME! It isn't worth your health to come to the wedding. I want you to stay safe. We can celebrate later. If you decide to RSVP yes or no and then change your mind later, great! Just let us know. If things are still looking like they are going to be on the fence about having the wedding, a final decision will be made by May 30. I want everyone I love to stay safe through the whole process. If you think you need to back out, then back out. Of course I will miss you, but I would rather you stay home and stay safe. I can always live stream the wedding so you can celebrate with us.
Ashley and Sarah Jo both grew up in Jackson, MO but their paths never crossed until 2017. Believe it or not, they met online and had their first date 4 days after he first messaged her. He wrote some cheesy message about working with RN's when he was flying helicopters. He snagged a date after finding out how easy conversation was and how they had so much in common. After a first date at Watami, they were both hooked. A year and a half later, he took her in a helicopter and proposed at Sarah's family land (in front of a deer camera, no less!) Of course she said yes!
