Corfu Old Town
Corfu Old Town is a historical center full of busy squares, quaint shops, delicious food, and impressive fortresses. Enjoy exploring the cobbled streets lined with a legacy of British, French, Greek and Italian influences. The Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site!
The Old Fortress
The Old Fortress is rich in history and stands on the eastern side of Old Town. Over the centuries, the fortress underwent three major sieges, was bombed during WWI and WWII, and (on a lighter note) was featured in the 1981 James Bond movie "For Your Eyes Only." The iconic landmark is one of the first things visitors see when taking the ferry or flying into Corfu.
The Achilleion Palace & Museum
Located 20 minutes south of Old Town, the Achilleion Palace was built in 1890 by Empress Elisabeth of Austria and is set in a tranquil garden. The palace features many Greek-inspired statues and numerous pieces of artwork, including paintings by Claude Monet.
Imabari Beach Bar
With views of the Old Fortress, Imabari is a beachside bar & restaurant in the center of Corfu Town. You can swim, lounge, grab a bite, or enjoy drinks right along the water.
Barbati Beach
Barbati is a gorgeous pebble peach along the northeast coast (40 min from Old Town). It boasts crystal clear waters, numerous beach bars and restaurants, and sunbeds and umbrellas available to rent.
La Grotta Beach Bar
Set into the cliffside of a stunning cove, La Grotta Beach Bar is a great option for lounging, enjoying a cocktail, or swimming in the crystal clear waters along Palaiokastritsa. Le Grotta is a popular destination, so we recommend visiting on the earlier side! It's a ~45 minute drive from Old Town.
Theotoky Estate
Theology Estate is a family-owned winery and olive oil mill located in Ropa Valley (30 min from Old Town). The property features 4,000 olive trees and 12 acres of vineyards, producing mainly a dry white Robola, a Rosé from Syrah, and red wine from Cabernet Sauvignon. Take a tour of the estate and enjoy a delicious wine tasting!
The Governor Olive Mill
The Governor Olive Mill offers tours and tastings that will take you deep inside the world of olive oil production. Here you'll discover the region’s ancient olive heritage and get a taste of exceptional local olive oils! The mill is located in the countryside, about 35 minutes south of Old Town.
Salto Wine Bar & Bistro
One of the newer restaurants on Corfu’s dining scene, Salto is a great farm-to-table option that offers guests a rotating seasonal menu. They have a selection of 120+ Greek wines and local beers.

The Venetian Well Restaurant
For any foodies, the Venetian Well is an intimate fine dining option located in the heart of Old Town. The restaurant overlooks the beautiful Kremasti Square, offers gourmet cuisine, and has a robust global wine list!
Papagiorgis Gelateria and Patisserie
For gelato, the century-old, family-run Papagiorgis Gelateria reigns supreme. Just off the famous Liston esplanade in Old Town, Papagiorgis often has a line out the door but is worth the wait!
