Why New Bern?

Sarah Helen grew up in Washington, a small town 45 minutes away from New Bern. We love eastern North Carolina, and wanted to share this special place with you!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We have a trolley to transport out-of-town guests from the downtown hotels to the ceremony, from the ceremony to the reception venue, and from the reception venue back to the downtown hotels. The trolley will depart for the ceremony at 4:30pm and is available to transfer guests back from the reception venue beginning at 9:30pm.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is a parking lot across the street from the church. There is a parking lot and street parking next to Tryon Palace.

What is the attire for the wedding?

Answer

Please wear cocktail attire (coat and tie) with shoes appropriate for walking on grass. The reception will be near the gardens of Tryon Palace, so floral dresses are encouraged.
