We met at DCI Biologicals in March 2009 while working together. David was Sarah's manager during that time. Sarah and her daughter Janie went shopping at Barton Creek Mall one day. They stumbled across David who was waiting near the food court for his friends that were shopping. Sarah's attention was drawn to David as he called them over to him. He fell in love with Janie instantly when he met her for the first time. Janie was so sweet and loving. She gave him the cookie that she had! Over the months, David and Sarah became friends. Their friendship developed over time. As colleagues turned into confidantes. David fell in love with Sarah, who is committed to raising her daughter Janie, not only because of her beauty and radiant smile, but also because of the warmth and kindness of her heart that define her character. David was unaware of the extent to which Sarah had fallen in love with him due to his charming personality. He was tall, fearless, humorous, witty, educated, and the perfect father figure for her daughter. He was the epitome of a gentleman! Our first date was on March 17th, 2011. David took Sarah to Chuy’s. Their initial date marked the beginning of a long-lasting relationship, and the rest is history!
On December 25th, 2020, it was Christmas morning. This Christmas was unlike any previous one. It was David and Sarah's first Christmas in their new home, which they recently purchased. They were planning to celebrate Christmas with Sarah's family later in the afternoon. All year, Sarah hinted to David how she needed and wanted a MacBook. David purchased only one gift for her. Sarah woke up early that morning and wanted to begin her day early. She hurriedly got ready while still wearing her PJs and only did her hair and make-up for the photos. That morning, she had the intention of taking pictures. As usual, David was taking his time. He took a shower, shaved, and was instructed to remain in his PJs. Janie, Courtney (who is David's niece), and the dogs Sir Winston, Missy, and Daisy were gathering together near the Tree. We watched as they opened their gifts. Shortly after David presented Sarah with her gift. Sarah felt that it was quite heavy, as she thought it was the laptop she had been hoping for. David immediately FaceTimed Sarah’s grandparents. When Sarah opened her gift, she discovered a bottle of champagne, two champagne glasses, and a small jewelry box. She was unaware of what was about to transpire. The girls quickly grabbed their phones to record. While sitting nearby, David grabbed the box, opened it, and asked Sarah a question she'd only dreamed of and seen in movies. Immediately, she shed tears of joy and was taken by surprise. Her response was 'Aww, Big UN, YES!' and she hugged him while still weeping with joy. It was a memorable moment that you can only read about or see in movies. A lifelong dream has been fulfilled! We are looking forward to celebrating the next chapter of our lives with you! We can't wait to see you in The Texas Hill Country! "Once in a while, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale." - Giselle C. Vireo
