David and Sarah Faye met when she transferred to his high school during her Junior year. They were babies in choir together! They quickly became fond of each other and their friendship grew. They dated for a few weeks and attended both junior and senior prom together, but they both knew it wasn't the right time and decided to stay best friends. After Sarah Faye graduated high school, she moved to the Philippines. They tried to keep in touch often, but it became difficult with distance and time zones. She had to live her own life and so did he. Fast forward 6 years later, David and Sarah Faye both graduated college and were working by God's grace. Despite the odds of a pandemic, Sarah Faye moved back to America, and David took the opportunity and asked to meet up. It was like they were in a time machine. They picked up right where they left off! Unfortunately, distance and time would remain their greatest contender. Sarah Faye transferred to Houston, Texas; while David remained in his hometown in Los Angeles, California. However, with their resources they kept in touch, not letting the distance hinder their friendship. As they say-- "Distance makes the heart grow fonder". After much talking, praying, and counsel, they finally decided to pursue a relationship together in the year 2021. On January 22, 2022, David knelt down and popped the daring question outside Sarah Faye's home-- "Will You Marry Me?" To which Sarah Faye gave her most confident, "Yes!" We are so excited for the days to come! To God be the glory!
