Sarah and Danny met in the Spring of 2016. A friend invited Danny to a small group hosted at Sarah's house. Sarah opened the door, and greeted Danny. Sarah's vibrancy and strong personality caught his attention immediately but Sarah didn't think twice about him. Fast forward six years, and now she thinks about him all the time. P.S. Augusta, Sarah's mother, later admitted she had a sense that very first night Danny would become her son-in-law one day.

After serving in Turkey together during the summer of 2016, Danny came home and began asking the Lord for a sign. While visiting a friend in Philadelphia, he parked his car, looked up at the street signs to remember where he was, and BEHOLD! He was standing at the corner of Sarah Street and Allen Street. The Lord gave him a literal sign. They began dating back and forth for the next 5 years, mostly long-distance. Even the miles and sometimes months of not talking to each other couldn't keep these two apart. One look at each other again and they were smitten.

Sarah and her sister braved the journey by bus from Turkey into Danny's arms in Iraq during the historic Middle East snowstorm of 2022. They say it was the largest snowfall in 28 years. But as the story goes, nothing can keep these two apart. Sarah was determined to be with Danny and called 25 bus companies with her friend until they found the last tickets available in the storm. Love makes you do crazy things. Danny brought her up to the Mar Mattai Monastary nestled in beautiful snowcapped mountains. This monastery (built in 363 AD) once served as a refuge for Christians fleeing persecution during the rise of ISIS in 2014. Danny found a sweet spot overlooking the Nineveh plains and got on one knee, inviting Sarah into a life of preparing the way of the Lord together, loving and sharpening one another, until Jesus returns.

After the wedding, the happy couple are headed back to Turkey, where they have lived and served for the past few years. In lieu of gifts, you can bless them with a money gift or support them on a monthly basis to reach the Muslim world for Christ!
