House Or Rental

Airbnb

We can’t recommend Airbnb enough for convenient, inexpensive, and sharable housing while traveling! If you know you’ll be meeting up with other guests of ours in NYC, we recommend coordinating a large, shared Airbnb to save on money—and of course, because it’s fun! Neighborhoods in lower MANHATTAN closest to the venue: West Village/Greenwich Village, Chelsea, East Village, Flatiron, SoHo Neighborhoods in BROOKLYN closest to our place, and still conveniently located for traveling to the venue: Williamsburg, Greenpoint, East Williamsburg, Brooklyn Navy Yard, Downtown Brooklyn/Brooklyn Heights Our recommended neighborhoods to save a few bucks but that may tack some time onto your commutes: BROOKLYN: Bushwick, Gowanus, Park Slope, Bedford-Stuyvesant MANHATTAN: Morningside Heights, West Harlem, East Harlem QUEENS: Astoria, Long Island City, Sunnyside, Woodside NEW JERSEY (west of the city): Jersey City, Hoboken WESTCHESTER COUNTY (north of the city): Yonkers, Bronxville

Hotel

Hotel blocks?

Looks like not enough people that are traveling for the festivities are interested in hotels to justify a hotel block--we recommend Airbnb's or hotels in our recommended neighborhoods! Hotels near our venue: The Roxy, The Standard High Line, Liberty Inn Hotels near us in Willisamburg, Brooklyn: Hotel Indigo Williamsburg, Wythe Hotel, Hotel le Jolie

Travel Note

Traveling to the venue From within the city

SUBWAYS: - L/1/2/3 to 14th Street + 15 minute walk - A/C/E/B/D/F/M to 4th Street + 15 minute walk - Google maps is extremely reliable with its NYC Subway directions - See our recommended neighborhoods above for the quickest commute OR cheapest lodging! CABS: - Uber and Lyft are both reliable car services within the city. Always check the license plate number before getting in since most of these cars are unmarked, and be aware that “pool” or “shared” cars will save you money, but cost you time. - Yellow & Green NYC cabs will generally be overpriced compared to the apps, but are reliable in a pinch or for short distances. They all accept credit cards, and if they tell you they don’t, they are swindling you. - NEVER take gypsy cabs/black cabs/unmarked cabs. CARS: We recommend not driving your car into the city or renting a car. Parking garages are expensive and street parking is a nightmare. Public transit and cabs are your best friend!
