The Bride and Groom follow the guidance of the State of North Carolina and the NC State Parks. While this is an outdoor wedding, and a majority of guests will have been fully-vaccinated, for the safety of all who are traveling or have not yet been vaccinated, it is asked that masks are worn when interacting closely with others from outside of your party, or while indoors. The following rules are set by NC State Parks: Maintain a social distance of 6 feet, regardless of the behavior of others Bring a mask or face covering; they are required to be worn inside buildings and when social distancing cannot be implemented Share the trail — warn other trail users of your presence, step to the side or wait at the end of a bridge Do not enter restrooms until others have cleared out and please be patient when staff is cleaning them Touch as few surfaces as possible Wash or sanitize your hands before, during, and after your visit
Park admission is covered! You will receive a parking pass in a message from the Bride or Groom about one week before the wedding. You can either print the pass, or present it on a phone when arriving to the gate. If you need to leave at any point and reenter the park, just tell the attendant upon first-arrival! Then meet us at Pavilion 5! (there's a parking lot right next to the pavilion). *You may want to arrive a bit early, as it gets busy on Saturdays, and sometimes there is a line at the front gate.
Unfortunately, because of NC State Park rules, no alcohol will be served at this wedding. We will have an assortment of bubbly sodas and other refreshing drinks!
The bride and groom are have thought carefully about this, and want to move forward rain or shine! Everyone will have a space to safely sit and dance under the pavilion if light or moderate wind or rain is present. Further information will be made available if there is a forecast for dangerous or severe weather.
The Triangle regions offers beautiful downtown areas in Durham, Raleigh and Chapel Hill, as well as the great outdoors around Falls Lake, Jordan Lake and Umstead Park. The Bride and Groom also highly recommend exploring the Duke Gardens in Durham, NC Botanical Gardens in Chapel Hill, the NC Museum of Art in Raleigh, or for a family-fun amusement, Frankie's of Raleigh.
