Wedding Party

We would like to introduce you to the people who have walked life with us and will now walk us down the aisle!

Laurel Grace Shearer

Maid of Honor

I feel very honored to be a part of Sarah's special day as her maid of honor. As her older sister, I do not remember how we met, however, I can say that over the past few years Sarah and I have developed a close and sweet relationship filled with an abundance of laughter. I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little bit mad at Jon Coll for stealing and sweeping away my precious girl.

Claire McGraw

Matron of Honor

I met Sarah the day she was born. I remember wearing the pink glitter shirts our mom had made for Laurel and me that said "Big Sister!" I have been so blessed to have Sarah as a little sister. She was honestly one of the most precious little girls with such an honest and sincere personality. She has grown so much over the past few years and I have loved watching it happen, especially since I feel like we have transitioned more from being siblings to actually being friends. My favorite memories with Sarah are dancing in the rain with her especially at my own wedding. I cannot wait to see where life takes us together and how many more rainstorms we will get to dance in together.

Nhi Nguyen

Bridesmaid

I met Sarah through Grace Prep as I came to the States for high school and ended up sharing a room with her my freshman year. There were times when I felt lonely and homesick and Sarah would drag me out of m bedroom and made me do all kinds of fun things to make me feel loved and included. Sarah has not only been an amazing sister but also a great mentor to me. She has helped me and stuck with me through many ups and downs. I am so grateful to have her by my side and can't wait to see where the Lord takes her.

Emily Norris

Bridesmaid

Hi all! I'm Emily, favorite sister of the groom. I first met Sarah at one of the many Grace Prep hangouts at the Coll House. I had heard rumors about a girl my brother had a crush on but would have nothing to do with him until he got his life together (the fact that we are now celebrating their wedding is proof that he did, in fact, get his life together!). I could tell right away when I met Sarah that she was something special and was definitely going to change my brother's life for the better. My favorite memory of Sarah was actually last summer from MY wedding, where she caught the bouquet from my bridesmaid toss with the biggest face of shock and resulted in one of the most iconic pictures of the night. I'm so excited to be able to call Sarah my future sister-in-law.

Hannah Swarbrick

Bridesmaid

My name is Hannah and Sarah is one of my cousins. One summer Sarah and I spent some time in Oregon at her grandpa's home. Despite knowing the rules, she invited me to ride the quads while no one was home. We subsequently put the wrong gasoline in the vehicle and got it stuck on a very large tree branch. We got so desperate, and quite frankly fearful of being discovered, that we began sawing the branch with a saw from the barn. Thankfully we were eventually delivered from our crisis by Sarah's cousin, a true Godsend at the moment. But this fun time truly brought us together and gave us a greater understanding of each other. Sarah always has had the sweetest soul that lights up a room and never fails to be the peacemaker and inclusive. Her fiery, yet gentle spirit is genuinely inspiring.

Isabel (Elle) Shearer

Bridesmaid

My first memories in life include Sarah as we are cousins and grew up together. I remember being toddlers and neighbors, playing house, and watching Zoboomafoo. I remember when they first moved out of state and how emotional the day was for many people in our community including me as I consider Sarah to be one of the first friends I ever made. However, mine and Sarah's fun together did not end when she moved. One of my favorite memories was a time we shared in South Dakota experiencing one of our favorite books, Little House on the Prairie at a living history site when we were about 6 and 7 years old. We rode horses and carriages together, we got to see a play, and other activities that related to the time period. We have continued to grow together and I will always remeber it.

Rebekah Sechler

Bridesmaid

My first memory of Sarah was at a water fountain my freshman year of high school when she told me she wanted to be best friends with me. I looked at her and straight-up said no. I wasn't the nicest person then and looking back on it, it's kind of really funny that I did say no cause now she's my best friend. She is the woman I love to adventure with, travel with, laugh with, love with, do literally anything with and I am so thankful for her every day of my life. She is closer to me than a sister. My favorite memory of Sarah is too hard to pick. So, I'm going to pick Zambia. We went together for 3 months and every day was a new love filled with adventure consisting of us laughing, crying, and experiencing new things together. I will carry these memories with me for the rest of my life.

Makayla Ley

Bridesmaid

Hi, my name is Makayla Ley! I met Sarah at Grace Prep when she was a sophomore and I was in eighth grade. I had just moved to State College and I didn't know anyone yet and I wasn't interested in getting to know anybody. Despite this, Sarah would come in and ask me to eat lunch with her every day. And I mean EVERY DAY. At that time I felt bothered and annoyed because I had all these walls up, but little did I know that she would become one of my best friends, and help tear those walls down. God knew exactly what he was doing. We have so many memories together from dancing just the two of us at the Colls to trying new coffee shops, to jeep rides with Rebekah with the windows down and music blaring. We've cried together, laughed together; She will always be my friend.

Andrew Summers

Best Man

Jonathan Madeira

Best Man

I met Jon Coll way back when we both play youth football for State College Assembly, along with Andrew, Jules, and Asher. We didn't become close friends until we got to know each other throughout our high school career. We started our friendship by learning a few neat facts about each other that we share: we're both named Jonathan (of course), we bother were born in September, and we both have sisters named Emily! As we grew closer, with Andrew right beside us, we three became inseparable. We were like a braided cord; we became brothers. Some of our best memories together all come from the same place, Ocean Isle Beach! With our night hours of skateboarding and minigolf and our time spent in the ocean. We've had crazy, sad, and dangerous memories throught the years.

Lucas Coll

Groomsman

I met Jonathan in the hospital the weekend he was born in 2001. This wasn't my first time being a big brother but it was my first time being old enough to really help take care of a little kid as he grew up. My new baby brother quickly became my favorite part of visit dad's house every other weekend and we got up to all sorts of brotherly shenanigans when he was little. There are too many memories to count, but a couple that stand out are playing video games together in the basement in Bellevue, playing on the beach at Ocean Isle, and going on little adventures together at Mamie's house.

Jeffrey Coll

Groomsman

I'm Jonathan's brother, I met him when he was born. One of my favorite memories of him is when he set off the test firework in the backyard and fell over with laughter because it was so big.

Asher Carr-Chellman

Groomsman

I met Jon at scouts when he was very young during scouts in State College. I was impressed by his ability to write cursive. From that day on him, my twin brother Jules, and I were thick as thieves. Throughout our late elementary years and throughout high school, we've been there for each other. I also got to meet Sarah through a middle school singing group and have known her since. I love them both and genuinely hope the best for them.

Jules Carr-Chellman

Groomsman

Dylan Weibel

Groomsman

I met Jon in my freshman year of high school and from then on we have always been good friends. One of my favorite memories with Jon is when Jon, Jonny, Andrew, and I went to go and "check out" an icy road for something we had to do for school. Really we just wanted to have fun and get out of work. We ended up booking down this road and doing a 360. Once we came to a stop all of us looked at each other with a grin on our faces. After that, the rest of the was spent listening to music and adventuring further to see what all we could find.

Jake Cannizzaro

Groomsman

I had the privilege of becoming Jon's acquaintance in the early days of Center Church. Gallivanting through the church halls and eating too many chocolate chip cookies. I had the honor of becoming his friend through the process of committing several felonies. Over the course of time in our years at Grace Prep together he has been a close alley of the fellowship in our quest to cast the ring of power into the fiery chasm from whence it came.
