Briggs - It was an unusually hot day in October. Dad came over and said we were going to go on a walk before they had to leave to meet up with friends! Mom was taking her time to get ready. Meanwhile Dad was on the couch with me. He seemed very stressed and eager to walk. This was unusual for him as he doesn't like to sweat. Once Mom was done throwing clothes on the ground, they got me dressed for the walk. I led the family down our normal path until Dad insisted we go down the "fancy sidewalk". That was okay with me as sometimes the squirrels sit in the trees around that area. As I continued to lead the way I noticed Dad had fallen down. But I wasn't stopping for him. I quickly pulled Mom to keep going- I was very close to finally catching one of the squirrels. At that point, Mom insisted we stop. She started crying and dad gave her a shiny toy. I inspected it and it wasn't peanut butter flavor so I didn't care. They then kissed and a photographer popped up out of the bushes. I quickly alerted them with my barking that someone was trying to take my photo and I should pose accordingly. They were very happy and continued to celebrate the rest of the evening with family and friends. I stayed home and took a nap. Alfie - I don't know. I wasn't born yet.
