It started out as any other fall season. Randomly, he sent me a message on Tinder, saying something along the lines of "I like your taste in music, let's hang out sometime". Neither one of us thought anything of it, and suddenly, without even realizing it, we had become the best of friends seemingly overnight. Our first date was at an IHOP in Blue Bell on Sunday, September 24, 2017, only 4 days after meeting each other online. I was pretty nervous meeting a stranger at a restaurant, but had this inner peace about him. I came home from that date with Tristin, looked my mom in the eye and said, "I just went on my last first date ever." Needless to say, she was not convinced, as I had only known him for 4 days, but I was certain that I had met the man I was going to marry. Exactly one week later, we decided to watch the sun set over Lake Galena at Peace Valley Park together. As the sun was setting, Tristin asked me to be his girlfriend. He said to me, "I don't want the sun to set on another day you're not my girlfriend. Three years later, Tristin got down on one knee in front of the Niagara Falls and said, "I know that 3 years ago today, I said that I didn't want the sun to set on another day you're not my girlfriend. But today, I don't want the sun to set on another day that you're not my fiancee. Sarah Elizabeth Rittenhouse, will you marry me?" Of course I said YES!
