Come celebrate with us!

We both went to school at the University of Virginia but didn't know each other well. We connected while Tristan was home visiting his family in Stanardsville for Christmas. After a text conversation, Tristan, in a mood, spontaneously agreed to drive out to the barn where Sarah worked at Midway. Sarah came out of the barn covered in dust and hay and Tristan was immediately intrigued. We went on a date that evening at Fardowners' Restaurant in Crozet. Though we didn't have many days before Tristan went back to Fort Bragg, we kept talking and kept dating. We're very different people, but we decided to keep seeing each other, first traveling between Virginia and North Carolina and then between Virginia and Missouri. In mid 2019, Tristan learned he was going to be stationed in Italy. We also decided that we didn't want to be separated anymore. So Tristan proposed to Sarah in early March a few weeks before he was supposed to leave the US....and then the world shut down. Having decided we love each other, we got married in April, the better to navigate the Army in a world of COVID-19. Now, in July of 2021, we would like to celebrate our marriage with all our family and friends, most of whom we haven't seen since the pandemic started. Hopefully we'll see y'all there. Sarah is a gifted artist and carpenter, with a great love for animals of all kinds and sizes. Tristan is an Army engineer officer nerd, who probably joined the Army to indulge his love of planning fake battles on the computer and tabletop. Despite different interests and life stories, the two of us have decided that we'd rather spend our lives together, growing with each other in our many goals and hobbies. Currently Sarah works as a barn manager and carpenter at Mooring Farm while Tristan serves in the 173rd Airborne Brigade in Italy. Sarah will join him there soon after we celebrate our wedding in July.
